The end of a Star Wars RPG adventure we played a couple of years ago.
Our characters were in Gold Marina, a reconverted Golan I space station acting as spaceport close to some mining asteroids in the Outer Rim. Still under Imperial control but with lax discipline, especially now with the Empire in disarray after Palpatine's death at the battle of Endor.
Some of us had heard rumors that we should probably leave, and managed to arrange transport with a man who owned a Mu-2 shuttle, but the reason was absolutely not what we expected. As we were trying to compute the hyperspace jump, a torpedo sphere appeared and started bombarding the station, with the added danger of a strike cruiser that could accurately target any leaving ships. Perhaps a conflict between rival Imperial warlords? We still don't know…
For the Golan I station, I decided to combine the original top view from the West End Games depiction with the X-Wing Alliance version, since the one in our story was repurposed, the GM showed us the XWA image, and all those landing bays matched the adventure much better. I depicted the torpedo sphere using the Death Star Owner's Technical Manual because that version is way more detailed than the original one in the roleplaying books. The shuttle was described in game as a previous iteration of the Lambda shuttle, less advanced, and modified, and we later did some search to figure out which particular model the GM was thinking of. Once we chose the Mu class, I combined the West End Games Mu-2 shuttle diagram with the Whisper Bird depicted on the canon Adventures in Wild Space books by David M. Buisán. I've also added a few other fleeing ships close to the station, so there's a very tiny Ghtroc 720 freighter in there if you can find it.
