Saturn system

Some renders of Saturn and its moons done in 2022 with Cinema4D R11.5. I didn't post them earlier because I wanted to make all the moons first, but I'm not sure when I'll finish those.

Saturn's surface is this map by Askaniy on DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/askaniy/art/Saturn-2011-Texture-Map-738863444

For the rings I used this great resource by Björn Jónsson: http://bjj.mmedia.is/data/s_rings/index.html
To create the geometry of the rings in Cinema4D I used this tutorial, but with the right numbers for Saturn: http://planetpixelemporium.com/tutorialpages/rings.html

Some of these images appeared at the Cultura con C de Cosmos project from my Spanish research institution at the time, Centro de Astrobiología:

The moons seen are, from left to right and starting from the upper three: Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Titan and Dione.

To create the right appearance I had to be careful using the resources by Björn Jónsson: http://bjj.mmedia.is/data/s_rings/index.html
The brightest rings of Saturn are also the most opaque, so from the unlit side they appear darker than the rest.

Titan. I decided to try and recreate the detached haze layer by adding a couple of extra spheres over the atmosphere and mess with the fresnel and noise shaders in the alpha and transparency channels.
