Holdo's Jump

After watching The Last Jedi I really wanted to draw this scene. My physicist's brain was mind-blown at the way Rian Johnson chose to depict this massive hyperspace collision between the Raddus and the Supremacy, and how much more accurate the scene ended up looking as a result. My admiration grew even more when I found out that the special effects were inspired by the look of actual physics experiments, and how they tried to think of the interactions involved at the atomic level when working on it. (I wrote about the physics of the entire film here: http://eleven-thirtyeight.com/2018/01/the-physics-of-the-last-jedi/ )

This piece was done in February 2018, using mechanical pencils with 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm HB leads in normal paper, and then scanned with the colors inverted and with some color correction in Photoshop to match the hue of the actual shot.
