Gravitational lens

This is a test I made in 2006-2007, right when I started my physics degree, but shown here are renders from 2008. As I had seen analogies of gravitational lenses that used the base of a wine glass, I decided to imitate the effect by creating a transparent shape with similar curvature. Looks like it worked!
