Kazellis light freighter

Kazellis-class light freighter from the Star Wars D6 roleplaying game by West End Games.

All drawings made using a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil with grade 2B lead.

This is the ship we used in a Star Wars D6 roleplaying campaign that lasted an entire decade, as it was before any modifications were performed on it. The design is a hybrid between the official WEG illustration (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Kazellis-class_light_freighter?file=TheClaw.png) and a fan-created image (https://web.archive.org/web/20161102123633/http://www.colonialchrome.co.uk/Ships/Generic/G_KAZ%20Kazellis.html) by Ben Flood-Paddock https://www.artstation.com/colonialchrome
The latter was used by our game master to include the modifications and other changes that we added along the years, and its distribution of panels influenced the colour pattern, so I preserved those particular details in this version of the ship.
My first attempts at perspective drawings soon made it clear that I needed to figure out the 3D geometry, and there were some practicalities from the RPG that made me wonder where the airlock, landing gear and escape pods were, so I added everything while preserving proportions that would let enough vertical space for properly-scaled characters to walk inside.

My first drawing of a "realistic" version of the Kazellis that would represent the ship we bought at the start of our RPG campaign.

Side, front and bottom orthographic views made in 2018, 2019 and 2023 respectively, to figure out the geometry of the ship and use for reference in perspective drawings. They're made at a scale where 2 mm represent 1 meter.

The attempt to draw a camera-facing view of the ship which made me realize I needed to figure out the actual 3D shape. May 2018. This sketch is 5.5 cm wide
